The product takes its name from Withania somnifera, better known as Ashwagandha , also known as Indian ginseng. It is one of the essential plants of Ayurveda, its extract, which is the lactone, can be used for various purposes. Additional ingredients include Korean ginseng, specifically Panax ginseng, and the active ingredient extracted from its root is ginsenoside, which is a saponin.
